Leadership Development

Programmes that build the leaders an organisation needs next — designed around your strategy, not taken off the shelf.

Most leaders are promoted because they were good at something else. They become managers because they were strong specialists, and senior leaders because they ran a function well. Few are prepared for what the next role asks of them, and many organisations only notice the gap when a key position opens and nobody is ready to fill it.

Leadership development starts with a clear view of what good leadership means in your organisation — the behaviours and capabilities your strategy depends on — and then builds them in the people who will need them. We design programmes around real work: the decisions your leaders face, the teams they run and the changes they are expected to lead. Learning happens in sessions, but it is applied between them.

The work can focus on one group, such as first-time managers or a senior team, or on a wider leadership pipeline. Each programme is shaped with you, and each participant leaves with a development plan that they and their manager continue after the programme ends.

What you get

What an engagement typically delivers. The exact scope is agreed with you first.

A leadership capability framework

A short, specific description of what leadership looks like at each level in your organisation, linked to your strategy and usable in hiring, development and review.

Programmes for new and senior leaders

Development programmes built for each group — workshops, practical assignments and peer learning — that deal with the situations your leaders actually face.

Team effectiveness work

Structured work with a leadership team on how it operates: purpose, roles, how decisions are made, how disagreement is handled and how the team holds itself to account.

Assessment and development planning

A clear picture of each leader’s strengths and development needs, using structured assessment and feedback, turned into an individual plan with concrete next steps.

How we work

  1. Defining what leadership means here

We talk with senior leaders and HR about the strategy, the challenges ahead and the leadership those challenges will require, and agree who the programme is for.

  2. Assessing the starting point

We build a picture of current strengths and gaps — through conversations, structured assessment and feedback — so the programme addresses real needs, not assumed ones.

  3. Designing and delivering the programme

We design the programme with you and run it in a rhythm that fits the business, with work-based assignments between sessions so learning is applied as it happens.

  4. Embedding and review

Each participant finishes with a development plan agreed with their manager. We review with you what has changed and what the next step for the leadership pipeline should be.

What changes

  • A shared, practical understanding of what good leadership looks like in your organisation
  • Leaders who are better prepared for the roles they hold and the ones ahead
  • Leadership teams with clearer roles and a better way of working together
  • More internal candidates ready when a leadership position opens

Common questions

Do you run standard programmes or design them for us?

We design them around your organisation. We use proven methods and materials, but the content, examples and assignments are shaped by your strategy, your leadership framework and the situations your leaders face.

How is this different from executive coaching?

Coaching is one-to-one and follows the individual’s agenda. Leadership development usually works with groups and builds shared capabilities across the organisation. The two often work well together, with coaching supporting individuals during or after a programme.

How is it priced?

There is no standard price list, because the scope varies. We propose the cost together with the scope, so you can see both before you decide.
