Employer Branding
A clear, honest story about what it is like to work here — one that attracts the right people and holds up once they join.
Every organisation already has an employer brand, whether it has shaped it or not. It lives in what current and former employees say, in how candidates are treated during recruitment and in the impression a job advert leaves. When that picture is vague or generic, the right candidates look elsewhere, and the ones who do join may find a reality that does not match what they were told.
We start from the inside. By listening to your people and looking honestly at what the organisation offers — the work, the people, the growth, the conditions and the way things are done — we help you define an employee value proposition that is specific and true. We then look at the candidate journey from the first advert to the first day, and at the content and channels you use to reach people.
The aim is not a campaign. It is a consistent, credible message that your hiring managers, recruiters and employees can stand behind, and a candidate experience that reflects it. Where the promise and the reality do not yet match, we say so and help you decide what to change.
What you get
What an engagement typically delivers. The exact scope is agreed with you first.
An employee value proposition
A clear statement of what the organisation offers and expects, grounded in what employees actually say, with the supporting points that make it credible.
A candidate-experience review
A walk through the recruitment journey from the candidate side — adverts, applications, interviews, communication and offers — with specific improvements.
Careers content and channel guidance
Guidance on the messages, formats and channels that suit your audience, from job adverts and the careers page to how employees can share their own experience.
A promise-and-reality check
An honest comparison between what the brand says and what employees experience, with a short list of gaps to close so the message holds up after people join.
How we work
Listening and discovery
We speak with employees, recent joiners, hiring managers and, where possible, candidates, and review how the organisation currently presents itself.
Defining the proposition
Together we shape the employee value proposition and test it with a group of employees to make sure they recognise it as true.
Aligning the experience
We review the candidate journey and careers content against the proposition and agree the changes that matter most.
Handover and review
Your team receives clear guidance to apply the proposition consistently, and at an agreed point we review how it is being used and what needs adjusting.
What changes
- A message about working here that is specific, consistent and credible
- Candidates who understand what they are joining before they accept
- A recruitment process that reflects well on the organisation, whatever the outcome
- Fewer surprises for new joiners in their first months
Common questions
Is employer branding just marketing?
It uses some of the same tools, but it starts from a different place. A strong employer brand is built on what employees actually experience. If the message is not true, it tends to attract the wrong people and disappoint the right ones.
Do you create the content and campaigns?
Our focus is the proposition, the candidate experience and guidance on content and channels. Where you need design, video or campaign production, we can brief your own team or your agency so the work stays consistent with the proposition.
What if the reality does not match what we want to say?
That is common, and it is useful to know. We show you where the gaps are, and you decide whether to adjust the message, address the underlying issue or both.
How is it priced?
There is no standard price list, because the scope varies. We propose the cost together with the scope, so you can see both before you decide.
